Jerika

Santiago

Jerika started her role as a METCO Coordinator/School Adjustment Counselor at both Coolidge and Parker Middle Schools for Reading Public Schools in 2023 before stepping into the dual role of Co-METCO Director for the 2024-2025 school year. While in this role, Jerika is still the METCO Coordinator/School Adjustment Counselor. In her roles at both schools, Jerika has been a part of the planning committee for both middle school’s Multicultural night and this year, she is a part of A World Of Difference.

Jerika has over 10 years of experience working with children and families from the group home setting, Big Brother Big Sister, DCF, The Home For Little Wanderers, clinical, and the school setting. She believes that all students can learn and be successful when provided a safe, positive, empowering, nurturing environment, and when there’s family partnership. In her free time she enjoys working out, going on walks, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Jerika earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Salem State University in 2016 and Masters of Social Work from Regis College in 2022.
