Malinthi is the Interim METCO Director at Concord Carlisle High School as of August 2024. She began her career at the school in 2022 as an Adjustment Counselor in the METCO program, providing mental health services to students. Malinthi earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in School Adjustment Counseling from UMass Boston in 2022. She grew up in Chicopee, MA, and completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology at UMass Dartmouth before moving to Eastern Massachusetts.

Before transitioning to education, Malinthi gained valuable experience working with adults suffering from psychotic disorders at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts. Her passion for the mental health field became evident early on, and during her graduate studies, she focused on working within the school system. Dedicated to serving underrepresented and underserved populations, Malinthi continuously finds new ways to deepen her commitment to working with METCO students and their families.
